His movie career has spanned many performances reflecting crucial moments from U.S. history. And it's for his work on the likes of "Apollo 13" and "Bridge of Spies" that actor Tom Hanks has won this year's Records of Achievement Award. The National Archives Foundation says he'll receive the honour - given to individuals who bring an awareness of US history through their work -- at a ceremony in Washington. The star, who last year was one of 21 people awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, said he was dazzled to be part of the event. He's appeared in numerous movies based on historical events and figures, including World War 2 drama "Saving Private Ryan" and crime thriller "Catch Me If You Can".
